I know this has been mentioned before and some people don't have problems. However, I got this little machine for Christmas and decided to use it to stream over my network to my Pioneer PLasma TV. 95% of the time the picture is fantastic and smooth but on the odd occasion it seems to skip a few frames. Obviously ATV is outputting 720p/60hz and I'm playing some material at 24hz (23.976hz) and the tv has to be in cinema mode to smooth things out.

However, I've tried a test with the same file streamed via the PS3 and the ATV2, both on a wired network both with the same tv settings and I experience non of the problems on the PS3 that I do on the ATV2 so I counting out the fact that the file I'm playing is a problem.
I would love to use the ATV2 as the interface is a lot better than the PS3, but at the moment it's just not holding up!

I was having serious judder/stutter problems prior to the latest update with a wide assortment of HD material. (Bluray encodes and Itunes HD store rentals.)

Have you applied the latest update?

Yes, first thing I did when I got the box.

I would open a case with Apple support.

The more data they have, the better chances they can fix the problem.
