Recently my ATV2 has been giving me all sorts of problems, the most annoying of which is that it will give me an error saying there are no items in my iTunes library whenever I try to access anything in my collection. A reboot (pressing the menu and down buttons) will clear it up every time. But it is rather annoying to have to reboot the device each day.

This problem started after I moved and had all of my A/V equipment unplugged for a few days. I've also noticed that every time I turn my television on, the ATV2 will turn on as well. It never used to do this.

Don't even get me started on the Netflix problems, none of which seem to be an issue when I use my PS3.

Anyone else experience this behavior?

If your ATV2 is not jailbroken and your iOS software is up-to-date, I would say it's very unusual for your machine to need a daily reboot.

If you haven't updated, and in particular if you're JB with lots of additional software added on (XBMC plus addons), this would be more normal.

Sorry, I should have clarified in my OP that my ATV2 is not jailbroken and it is running the latest updated software.

I think I'm going to reset it when I get home this evening and reinstall the updates and see if it starts working normally again.

If it keeps happening I'd recommend getting warranty or Genius service on it.
