ATV2 presets work on iPhone 4/5?

I recently converted a ton of my movies to MP4/M4V format either using the ATV2 present in Handbrake or using MKVTools to turn my MKV files into MP4 format. I plan to get the newly released iPhone in October and I wanted to find out if these MP4/M4V files will work on my iPhone or if they have to be reformatted?

Also, what is the quickest and best way to convert AVI files to MP4? I've been using Handbrake but it can take a pretty long time. Any other (quicker) options? Also any options for converting from MKV to MP4 (I've been using MKVTools)?

yes they will play on iphone 4 using atv4 format. I do not know of a better program, I am still a Mac noob. Hope it helps, Mike
