I bought the ATV2 before knowing that there was no way to connect it to my 2002 Mitsubishi HD1080 TV, Model # WS-48511. So, after hours of reading online, I decided to purchase an HD video converter. Followed directions, running VGA cable from converter to VGA input in TV. Programmed TV to receive from VGA input (which it recognizes as a computer-not sure if that is right). Ran RCA cable from audio port of converter to a digital audio port on TV.
Nothing. Then I remembered several people saying that they had to turn off or unplug the TV and the converter in order to get it to bring up the picture. I tried that and actually got rolling lines (like the ones you see when the picture is trying to change dpi).
Well, now I don't know what to do. Found the TV manual online, but it only talks about VGI port for computers. It does play 720dpi, but defaults to 1080i. Could this be the issue? Not being able to actually set the TV on 720?
I am stumped. I'm not much of an audio/video technocrat!
Need help.....please.
