I did a photoshoot recently and came up with a select few that were wallpaper worthy, so if anybody is interested, there are links to each photo in 2560x1440 below the photo..

That car would look great if it didn't have that ugly ass window sticker on the back.

I have had two Audis in the past 10 yrs and was considering a new S4 this year but am holding off for a while.

I couldn't agree more, you'll see in the full sized version, I photoshopped it out..

if it were my car, it would be clean.

Ya, I've never understood the idea of buying a $50K or more car, dumping $10K into nice rims, brakes, etc, and then uglying it up with one of those things.

The only thing worse is when some ******* is driving a $100K car and has the big ass dealer badge bolted to the trunk lid. I cringe every time and wonder if they are just a total idiot or what.

seriously.. This is my car.. ultra simple :) (Performance VW sticker is for magazine feature, which is also what the photo is from)

just thought i'd share the imac sized wallpapers I made if people were interested.. not many other screens carry a 2560x1440 resulotion :)
 
I'm reminded of a friend who had a car with hydraulics and a custom hacked GPS. Depending on the part of town he drove in, the car would raise or lower. For example, in a small town, the car would raise to normal height to blend in (so it would be less of a target for police looking to make their ticket quota.) Other parts of town, it would drop to almost road height.

The interesting thing was some type of sensor on the car that would elevate it in parking lots so a speed bump or a pothole wouldn't damage it.

I have a hydraulic suspension on my Audi Allroad and it is really great. I mostly use it for snow and such though.
 
Awesome pics.

IMHO:

Audi A5/S5 is the sweetest, sexiest luxury coupe under $ 50K (okay, unless u get an S5, then more expensive). I drive an A4 and I drool over the A5 every time I see it.
 
She's a beauty--if I didn't drive a BMW, I'd probably have an Audi. But by the time I part with my 2001 330i, BMW will probably be rolling out the all electric series they are working on.

And tired of researching and not quite understanding. I have been lurking on the "Waiting" thread forever, stayed up all night two nights ago. Now I feel overwhelmed and that I can't make an educated decision! I have narrowed it down to two choices. (I think. :eek:)

If there is anyone out there (Hellhammer? Dudeman?) that happens to read this thread, will you pleeeze help me decide?

Between these two, which one would you buy? About me: I am currently not :rolleyes: making a living as a writer, but that will hopefully change (I've sold stuff before,) so I obviously will use my imac for that. I am also an intermediate/amateur video editor with (finally!) the time to edit years worth of video. I'll do some effects and it will be HD, but i'm chucking my FCP3 for the new FCP Express, and I will not be doing anything involving green screens or 3D.

The choices: I'm debating - agonizing - between (1) the new imac 27" i3 dual core 3.2 with the edu discount at $1599, I'll get the itouch to sell and offset some of the cost, or (2) a refurb (probably new, the Apple guy says, they have a couple hundred in stock,) i7 2.9 Quad for $1699, no discounts or itouch's.

Money is an issue, (read below) and I lost my job - company went under. So I can't consider a new i7.

Thanks in advance for any advice. Below is OT.

First Audi: 2001 (leased) TT roadster 1.8, Silver/black
(Decided it was selfish to have a two seater with kids, so when the lease was up I bought an 03 BMW 530i, black/black. Installed a $3800 navigation/DVD player. Btw, the three year Audi lease is the longest I've owned a car since. Hence the name of this post)
Second Audi: 2004 (or was it '05?) A4 Cabriolet 3.6, Blue/gray
(Sold for BMW 545 Titanium Silver/Black "was gonna keep it forever." Bought a 2K bumper to bumper warranty. Got 2 speeding tix in first two months; woulda had a third but the officer let me off when he clocked me at over 100 MPH going to Vegas. I HAD been being careful, I just wanted to see what it/I could handle and actually had it up to 140 MPH at one point, the copper caught me just after that. I was an idiot and waited until I was a half hour out of Vegas instead of the boondocks to try this out. Still can't believe to this day he let me off; I love that guy. I think we bonded when I told him I had sped up becuz I realized I was late for a Party Poker arrival party - I was on the way to the 2006 World Series of Poker - won an entry in a $55 satellite on Party Poker. Busted with a decent stack 45 min b4 first day ended. The guy was a ******* idiot; called me all the way down and all in with two clubs in his hand and ONE on the flop; I was almost the bigger idiot cuz I tried my FIRST bluff of the night in the cutoff position that late into the first day. Sry, just a little OT... anyway, kids went off to college, so that, and the speeding tickets, gave me an excuse to buy...)
Third Audi: 2005 TT roadster, black on black, 3.2 (My frickin' dream car, but I decided to move to snow country, so after only one year, I sold it and bought... (do you see a pattern here? a 2005 Toyota 4Runner Ltd.)

NOW I WANT A TT AGAIN. MARKET I. I HAVE ISSUES.
