Hey everyone,

I am trying out a base model 13" MBP with an M1 chip and have been loving it so far. It feels so much faster than my 2018 15" MBP that is almost fully specced out. I wish there was a 16" M1 so that I could switch permanently.

However, the one thing I have run into which is kind of annoying, is that audio and video will be out of sync with each-other in safari and google chrome (M1 version). Has anyone else experienced this and found a fix?

I never would have guessed that video playback is what would have annoyed me. Rosetta is so fast even with photoshop and lightroom it is perfectly usable for my business needs.

Thank you

I just noticed the same issue when playing youtube. It is out of sync in both Safari and Chrome. It also happens when playing video using VLC or Quick Time.
EDIT: i just noticed that it only happens when using headphones (I am using airpods). when i played the video using laptops speakers the video and audio were in sync.
@happypeople are video&audio out of sync for you when using laptop speakers or only when using headphones?

My MBA when connected to AirPods the audio is like half a second behind. If I don’t have experience in video editing I wouldn’t notice it. It’s just almost synced.
From speakers it perfectly syncs. I th8nk we need to wait for update to fix this.

For me it seems to be primarily when connected via bluetooth however once in a while it will happen with cabled headphones as well. The speakers themselves have no issues with audio / video sync.

The bluetooth can be quite bad though. On YouTube, Netflix, etc it is about a half to a full second behind and in FaceTime it can be even worse.
