I purchased the 24 inch iMac with a terabyte, for audio editing and audio for digital media editing. It works great, and has more than enough power to handle my needs, there's just one thing bothering me that I wanted to see if anyone else was experiencing. When I have either speakers or headphones plugged in, I hear strange noises when I stop play back of whatever I'm doing.

It occurred to me that this may be a defect in the programs I was using so I used iTunes as well. No matter what program or media I was listening to, the phones/speakers would make the same sort of "farts" when play back was stopped. Sort of like a test tone beep or boop kind of thing.

Just wondering if any one else has experienced this sort of thing, and sorry in advance if this has already been discussed and I just missed the thread.

Oh great, well I don't think they'll be really happy to swap entire motherboards for me, especially since I didn't buy the apple care :p
