Audio Delay in all content

So my AppleTV seems to have spontaneously developed a problem of not playing audio in sync with the video. This is true of all videos, whether they're files I encoded, itunes-purchases or even movie trailers and youtube. I've even done a factory restore, with no luck. I also get the feeling that the menu sounds are delayed.

What in the world could be going on here?
 
So it turns out it was my TV and the HDMI for some strange reason. I switched to component, and it worked, switched back to HDMI, still delayed. I then turned off the TV and back on, and all was well now. Still not sure of the cause, but at least I know how to fix it. Panic averted :D
