I'm currently running public beta 2 but experienced the same issue on beta 1. When playing music over CarPlay I am experiencing audio crackling and popping along with other artifacts. Has anyone else had this issue?

I'm really glad to hear it's not just me as well. I've moved to using Bluetooth for the most part right now because I'm not willing to give up the beta - and that takes a lot of workI'm having the exact same issue. At first I thought it was the new lightning cables I got but then tried an apple one with the same problem.
Glad it's not just me. Btw 2016 Honda Civic having the problem.

Aftermarket Pioneer head end and no Car Play issues other than occasional USB disconnections (Car Play existed) that existed in 9.3.x.

Do you also suffer from having the device completely disconnect from the head unit? I have to unplug and replug the lighting connector to get it working again.
At least for me I have updated my head unit and the problem keeps on happening. I always thought it might have been a defect on my infotainment system. Glad to discover that I'm not the only one because it's a pretty dangerous thing to have happen while driving.Yep - same issue and workaround. Haven't tried updating the head end yet.
I'm on public beta 3 now and I think both this and the Siri issues have been resolved. I'll have to use it more to be sure, but I'm excited to finally have CarPlay enabled again!
