Very basic question here. Is the MBA audio jack output only? Reading the tech specs, I believe this is the case, but wanted to confirm.

I'm debating whether I really need to get a USB headset for Skype or if my iPhone headset will do. I am guessing the former....

If this is the case, what have your experiences been using a USB headset with your MBA? The BT headset experiences sound like a USB headset would be the only practical solution.

Thanks guys.

The audio jack is out only. If you had a bluetooth headset you could use that as a regular headset with the computer. I don't know if you'd considered that route yet or not. good luck :)

The bluetooth audio is pretty bad - It's the usual crap I've had from all Apple notebooks. The Air has A2DP in addition at last, but that is even worse as well - I really don't know what is up with Apple and wireless in general.

Best bet is a USB headset. I've used a phone-shaped handset and that worked without problems, so no reason to doubt that anything else wouldn't work.

Thanks guys - from what I've read, the BT option sounds fairly poor, so will likely just pick up a standard USB headset.

Appreciate the help.....
