Audio Line out suddenly dead?

Hello,

After messing around with a few GPU cards and installing Windows on one of the internal drives of my 2009MP, the audio line-out is dead. Nothing. At one point it was even absent from the selections in the Audio System Pref. Now it's back, but sound will not come out of the speakers, regardless of the source.

The GPU I'm currently using, and have ben for months with no audio issues, is a HD 6870, with a DVi to HDMI cable for my tv, and the mini displayport for my cinema display.

Had something similar on my MacBook.

Do a SMC reset and a PRAM reset, that should help.

When I had that on my MacBook I was sure that was a hardware problem, and I started cleaning the whole Macbook. Pretty pissed that it still didn't work, I made the usual software-troubleshooting and I was very surprised that after the resets I got it working again
