I've got two reports from users of my app, running iOS 5.1.1 on iPad 1 (iPad 2 & 3 are working fine), that the audio is no longer working.

I'm using the AVAudioPlayer from the AVFoundation library.

Is anybody else experiencing any similar problems.

I experience the same problem and the audio doesn't work.Anyone can help?

I have been struggling with this for years and have never found a solution.

I made an app in 2009 that uses AVFoundation for audio. It has 100,000+ users and yet now and again I get an email claiming the sound has been working.

Recently I've been testing the app on a 5C, 5S, 4, 4S, iPad 2, iPad Mini and iPad 4 ,3GS and all of them work just fine, however if I load it up on an original iPad the sound goes dead which is consistent with my users claims.

I've gotten so frustrated with it I'm just considering re-writing the media part of the app (something I should have done a long time ago anyway).

Will forever be a mystery to me, hopefully someone chimes in with the answer.
