Thinking of getting an eyetv and have a question about getting audio and video from my iMac to the TV.

iMac is the first Intel iMac. I understand that I can use a Toslink cable to get audio out. I understand that I can get a mini DVI-HDMI cable to send out the video.

Here's my issue: I have HDMI switch with 4 inputs and the output is HDMI sending video to the TV and Toslink sending audio to my receiver. This works great because I don't have to change the TV input or the receiver input when changing sources; I just switch the little box over to a different input.

BUT: how can I get my iMac to get audio to this switch?? Ideally there would be some magic cable that combines my mini-DVI and Toslink into an HDMI to go into the box. Haven't found anything like that.

Any suggestions, please?

Thanks!
