Ok, so im not really sure what the "techy" term would be here but here is my question.

In my car, I have an Alpine deck that has a 30 pin connector to connect my ipod, iphone etc (not an AUX out). I can actually manage the songs through the the screen on my Alpine deck, without touching my iphone. So the question is, when will this be available for the Ipad? Your probably thinking, why cant you just use your iphone/ipod, it has the same music? This is true, however, I have an Ipad 3G, so if I were ever to use my Ipad as a navigation unit, I could have my music/navi all in one... not to mention the use of a much easier, bigger display as a I drive. There was an update that came out for the Iphone that allowed for this, so I wasn't sure if this was something that would come at a later date for the Ipad.

Anyone have any insight on this?

My 30pin connector into my stereo works fine with my iPad. I cant even control the ipad through my steering wheel controls.

Mind telling me what setup you have? Is there any setting that needs to be altered? My Iphone is plug and play. Not sure why this would be any different from the iphone but, I get no audio?

The iPad USB "camera connection kit" allows digital audio out if your sys has a dac/amp.

Thanks for the insight guys, im gonna try a few things out, but any additional knowledge is always helpful!
