So I'm looking at possibly getting an iPad Pro. I would want to use it with my headphone setup which has an amp/DAC "stack". Seeing as there is no headphone jack on the iPad Pro I want to know if I can use the USB-C port to get audio out so I can use it with my headphone setup. Is this possible?

Yes you can use an audio interface with it, it behaves like a macOS usb-c port

I use a mackie onyx blackjack and works perfectly

Cool. Thank you. It would be nice to go full wireless but I really enjoy my headphone setup so I can't see myself getting rid of it. Right now I use it with my 2015 15" MBP. But I don't have it as a desk setup. It's on a side table beside my recliner. I still much prefer Mac OS to iOS so I would still have a Mac to use to store all my files. I still often by CDs and I don't use or care for Apple Music. One big reason is I don't want it screwing up my library somehow. Guess I'm still "old school".
