Audio problem in bootcamp

Hi guys I have a new aluminium 2.53 MBP and have installed vista 64 ultimate on it via bootcamp.

I have noticed that I am having problems with the audio, there is no audio from the internal speakers at all and when ever I boot up in vista the audio jack has a red light coming out of it...This only occurs in bootcamp and if i go back to OSX the problem disappears

I have installed the latest driver from realtek and have tried to fiddle with the audio jack using cotton buds etc, but nothing seem to work... are there any other ways from rectifying this?

Yeah Hi im having the exact same problem as you but in Windows 7 (build 6956) on my white 2.1ghz macbook.
Just a little red light coming out of the headphone jack, and no sound from the speakers or headphone jack.
Im somebody knows how to fix it can they please post.

I have the fix to Audio Probs

THis is a typical windows correction, and has nothing to do with Apple's drivers or Vista.... it's just windows making things so customizable that people end up lost. Anyhow, here's the fix...

1) go to control panels under the start menu.
2) open the sound icon with the speaker

3) Under play back, select your device.... I selected headphones, and now the jack works great, ( MBP 3.06, 4 gigs ram, running vista home.) This should work for all windows OS's, because this is a standard fix.

If you still have problems, than you didn't install the drivers that came with your computer. Have fun getting confused with windows.
