Hi,

My new app is in the store and selling well, but I have had 2 people report an audio problem. Sound is intermittent and sometimes not playing at all.
The two iPhones in question were jailbroken.
Has anyone else run into this situation? Can jailbreaking affect an API?

Thanks.

I'd tell them you ain't supporting jailbroken hardware - even if you can't pinpoint it to this being the issue. Mind you, you'll likely lose due to bad press from these people.

(you have at least reminded me to put a disclaimer on my apps in future about jailbroken phone support!)

Background processes can interrupt audio timing. This is true for processes related to Apple's own apps and OS as well, but as least they are a known quantity for which to budget and test. A jailbroken platform can have an unknown additional amount of processes running. YMMV.
