Audio quality iMessage voice in iOS9?

Has Apple improved the sample rate in iMessage voice messages? Or is it still bad as hell?

I hope it's finally improved because there's literally no point using it in it's current state.

No, they didn't. I just send myself an audio message from my iPhone 5 on iOS9 and from my iPhone 6 on iOS 8 and both are identical; quality wise.

I can confirm it. Horrible sound quality on iMessage voice messages.

So we have to wait another year for iOS10.
