Audio question for late 2012 mini mid level

I have my mini hooked up to my 47 inc tv via hdmi.

I also have it hooked up to a 24 inch dell monitor.

If I have the sound bar on the dell hooked up via the headphone jack I get no audio from the TV.

I hate having to keep plugging and unplugging all the time.

Is there anyway to keep them both hooked up and still get sound from both sources?

No way to get both simultaneously, no. You should be able to switch back & forth within System Preferences>Audio but the sound is going to go one place or the other, not both.

Perhaps, it is a good idea to think about DLNA option (if your TV capable).
it is much cheaper and better option. OR you using them as dual monitor?
