Audio/Resolution issue after ML 10.8.4 update

After installing ML 10.8.4, I have noticed that the audio will turn up to full volume after a restart, my audio device is BoomAudio Version 1.7, and that my screen resolution changed from the default 1080p to 1080i. I have used Onyx to check the .plist files for any corruption and nothing came from that. I went ahead and put the two files in Library/Preferences/Audio: com.apple.audio.DeviceSettings.plist, com.apple.audio.SystemSettings.plist into the trash and then restarted, making sure not to empty the trash. The Screen resolution fixed itself after restart, It rebuilt the files, but it still turns up on it's own. Now what?

Restart in Recovery Partion - Disk Utility - Repair Disk Permissions (do this at least 2x) then Repair Disk. Restart and re-test.

Tried That

I tried that and it did not work, so I went back to Onyx and did the Cleaning. I made sure to check audio component under 'system', and audio unit under 'user.' I then went to 'Automation' and rebuilt the 'dyld's Shared Cache'. It seems to be working correctly now. Thanks for your help!

Restart in Recovery Partion - Disk Utility - Repair Disk Permissions (do this at least 2x) then Repair Disk. Restart and re-test.

That's the second time you've suggested Repairing Permissions "at least twice" recently.

Repair Permissions is extremely over-rated. It does very little, and what little it does will be achieve ONCE when you run it. Running it three times would suggest that it somehow doesn't bother to do everything on the first two occasions.
