Audio Sharing w/AirPods

Before we buy another pair of AirPods, we are researching whether our Macs (2018 Mini, 2014 Mini, 2013 iMac), iPhones (6s, SE), iPad Air 4, AppleTV HD and Visio TV will work with both pair of AirPods to share audio.

So far it looks like only the iPad Air 4 (iPadOS 14) supports system wide Audio Sharing. So even if we update the Macs to Big Sur, the iPhones to iOS14 and the Apple TV HD to TVOS14 we will still be out of luck. Is that right?
