Is there a way to watch a movie - say on my Mac Mini Media Center - and have the video on the big screen, but the audio simultaneously on my iphone (or ipod touch or iPad)?

We have a rather loud furnace (it's an old house) and in order for me to hear what's playing on the TV, it has to be quite loud. With movies, especially, there seems to be sudden loud sections (explosions, gunfire, etc) and it's hard to control this without waking up the baby upstairs.

Especially with airplay now, it'd be GREAT if there was a way to have the audio come through the iphone with the video on the Mac. Is this possible? Does this app exist?

Surely there must be a more elegant way then a 10 foot cord coming from the back of the mini. No I don't want to do bluetooth headphones, either.

Thanks!

You could get Airfoil (for the Mac Mini) and Airfoil Speakers (for the iOS device), that allows you to route the audio from the application to the device.
