Audio Tone Adjustment ?

Hello,

Started watching YouTube videos, and the person speaking is invariably
"rough" sounding. Not very clear, but certainly understandable.

Have tried with the internal iMac speakers, and some Logitech external with same muddled
voice results. (no Tone adj. on external speakers)

Was wondering: is there a "Audio Tone" option or slider somewhere ?

Or, tone, etc. just has to be done with a suitable external speaker set that provides a Tone adj. ?
