iPod Audiobook Import Problem

I am in the middle of importing an audiobook on CD into my library. Each disc I put in, I import it into the library, then convert it from .m4a to .m4b, then re-add it again and it appears in the audiobook section in a folder of the disc. This worked well for the first 7 discs, but now the 8th one is not creating it's own folder; it is importing into the first folder I made. It's really annoying and I am quite aggravated with it. If anyone can help, that would be ideal and I apologize of the explanation is unclear, I don't know how to describe it that well.

I just import the tracks from the CD (joining cd tracks where necessary). Then choose "Audiobook" as media type and it gets sorted in the Audiobook section.

What are the advantages of joining the tracks of an audiobook as opposed to just leaving them split up into separate files?

Say you have a book that has 45 1 minute tracks that make up a chapter, you can join them all to make 1 45 minute track. Check "Remember Position" and you can pick up where you left off from.

This just stops you having 900 tracks for a long book...

Do I do this before or after I import?

It's still not working. I'll show you what I mean.

In the first screenshot, you can see that the first folder has 44 files in it, while all the rest have 22. The disc keeps importing into the first folder and does not create a new one like all the others did.

The second one shows where the first disc ends and where the latest files have been imported rather than having their own file.

All the files need to have the same info (except of course track name).
I can see that it's the Hobbit you're importing.

You have JRR Tolkien as the artist for one lot and Rob Inglis (the narrator) as the artist for the others.
