iPhone X Augmented reality stutter/laggy

Does anyone experience any lag/ stutter when playing games with AR in a long amount of time (like 15-20 minutes) with iphone X ?? I notice that my iphone X started become hot and the camera become laggy when I played AR games , its just so bothering me.. please help , any suggestions?? Thx!!!

It's the reality of the camera running for so long, the CPU and GPU active to power the game/app.

The lag is heat related. The phone will throttle down the CPU and even dim the screen if it gets too warm. Seems the X can get heated rather quickly. About all you can do is remove your case if you have one on it to allow it to cool. Cases can keep the heat in.

I havent managed to stay interested in AR long enough for my phone to even warm up.

The phone throttles when it gets too hot. 20 minutes sounds like a pretty long time before throttling kicks in, considering you're talking about constant AR use. Definitely for AR games (super graphics intensive), throttling will make it very laggy after some time.

You are not the only one. AR is a gimmick at this point and no app has trully leveraged it as a necesity or as a feature that makes people adopt and invest in it.
