August 7th Invite for iMacs...

... or silent product update?! which will i be waking up to tomorrow??

place yr bets, people! :D

for me, i'd like a bit of fan fare! so i'm going with august 7th invite to a special product(s) launch - imacs, ipods. these invites are usually out a week in advance of the event, yeh? so tomorrow should be the day.

Invite if there is a major update, like G5 release. If it is just a santa rosa or whatever update then just silent.

I also agree about the deceiving thread title.

If there's a new case design they'll do invites and promote the heck out of the new machines. Silent updates are for when they only do a slight increase in processor speed.

sounds like a serious bet. now i know why i never bet my life on apple. we will all send flowers if it is not the 7th.

to the point: i think that an invite for the 7th would make sense right now, just cannot see apple waiting a year for an update.

granted two years ago i could not see them making a phone, so who knows.

It the update is gonne be 7 aug. then i guess they better hurry up with the invites lol! :D

If there is no event invite in a day or two, then what does that tell us. Either silent update or nothing at all??

oh calm down! there's a bunch of threads with subjects like this... !

well, there was no silent update... and yet no invites either. :apple: are really toying with us! :rolleyes:

If the new iMacs are released on the 7th in the US when do you guys think we would see them in the UK? What's the usual delay with these things...?
