So finally America caught up to the 20th of october and Apple had their event.

I must say I LOVE the new MBA, I will be attending Uni next year and am going to be riding in, so the MBA will make a perfect little laptop to cart around on a single-speed and to take into classes.

So I'm wondering, is it worth spending the extra AU$150 for the 4GB upgrade on the 11.6inch? I'm mainly wondering if it will help for light usage and would it really help with resale in the long run?

Thanks in advance!

Anyone else from australia looking forward to wandering into one of the few apple stores or a Mac One and snatching up a new apple product?

I ordered my beefed up 13" 2.13GHz 4GB RAM 256GB Flash this morning before I went to work!

Will replace my current Rev B MBA very nicely!
I wanted more RAM and bigger SSD... hoped for an extra USB port... and Apple delivered!
SD slot was a nice throw in as well - and I might investigate some SD card options as swappable hard drive / file archive / back up options!
They even put it all into a cool looking new package for me with a better screen!

my funds limit me to to the base level (plus the 4GB of ram) 11.6 inch MBA. that setup sounds wicked though!

Did you check out the education store? (Not much discount though)

I am very very tempted, but I already have a 13" MBP and an iPad- which I only use for textbooks now as I do a lot of surfing on my iPhone.
I don't really need an Air... but it's just so damn sexy, and I too will be riding to uni next year. HMMMM
