I am living in Dubai, UAE and this is what I experienced with two Authorized Repair Centers

Last year i got the new 2017 iMac with fusion drive (i know it was a bad choice now) when it was released. I got applecare extended warranty

In December the Fusion drive broke. I got it repaired at ABM Care in Dubai.

On collecting my iMac i noticed that they scratched the stand. I insisted they replace the stand which they did.

A couple of weeks ago i needed to use the TB3 ports. To my surprise it was impossible to plug in any TB3/USB-C device. It turns out my mac was not reassembled correctly by the ABM Care

Not wanting to go to ABM Care I took it to Sharaf DG Authorised repair center. Waited one week, they told me it's repaired, but when i bring it home same issue.

I have contacted Apple and they will call me tomorrow

Can anyone recommend a decent Authorized Repair Center in Dubai?
Do you think if I complain enough Apple will give me a replacement iMac?

You probably should only deal with authorized Apple repair centers especially since you have Apple Care. Using a non authorized Apple repair shop can wind up voiding your warranty. And yes, I believe you should complain directly to Apple and that they should give you a new iMac to replace the one they messed up.

Both ABM Care and Sharaf DG are Apple Authorized Repair Centers, so no issues with the Warranty

Apple will call me tomorrow afternoon. I will ask for a replacement iMac

Apple told me that their official policy is to repair and not replace macs, but I will not give up yet

I'd always thought Apple's support in the UAE would be better than their support in Kuwait considering they have an official store and all, but I guess not. Here's hoping they open official stores in the region. I have nothing but horror stories every time I had to deal with Authorised Repair Centres in Kuwait (if you'd like to know more I could tell you more about them but I'm afraid I would really go off topic). In any case, the sooner they open up official stores the better, but I don't think it would be any time soon.
