So I've been trying to redownload certain TV episodes in 1080P, yet when I try to play them on my Apple TV 2, an "authorization is required" error appears, despite the fact that my computers are already authorized in iTunes. All other regular 720P content works just fine.

If anyone knows of a way to get around this, that'd be great.

Thanks!

I had that message appear as well... I ended up resetting all settings and it seemed to resolve the issue.

I got the same error message when trying to have the AppleTV pull the movie from iTunes. Instead, go into iTunes and just AirPlay the 1080p movie to your AppleTV. I made sure I deleted all but the 1080p file of the movie before I did the test and the AppleTV played the 1080p file with no problems. It seems the block is a software glitch to make you buy the new one.

It is a glitch. Air playing from the iPad also works. I hope apple fixes this. I want to upgrade everything so I only have one file and don't have to worry about what device I'm using
