I hope someone can help me with this while I wait forever to iTunes support to respond to my email.

I bought the Star Trek BluRay a while back which came with the digital download version. I was able to authorize via iTunes no problem and play it on my iPhone and iPad.

But since then, was the whole linking of Apple IDs and what not. My original Apple ID was an email address that I no longer have access to, the one used to authorize the above movie. My current main ID is a me/mac/iCloud email and the account does seem to show all purchases and downloads I made with the original ID. But this movie wants me to authorize the computer specifically with teh original ID - and the current password doesn't work and neither does the original password I used with that ID.
Is here anything I can do to make this work?

I have the feeling that Apple is going to tell me to do a password reset on the orginal account, but whenever I try that, I get a "Session has timed out error" eve though it takes me all of a minute to fill out the form. It also doesn't let me in when I try to answer the security questions - its' as if the account doesn't exist any more, but I can't add that email address to my existing accoutn either .

You should be able to authorize playback by using your current Apple ID and password (i.e. when it asks, overwrite the old email address with the current one).

If that doesn't work, try re-downloading the movie from the Purchased section of the iTunes store. It should now be linked to the new Apple ID.

I think they stop letting you redownload that movie. It no longer shows up on my itunes account. Lucky for me I had the movie backed up on a external HD

i am having also a problem with my apple id i changed the email address of my apple id and since then i am never asked to enter my apple id password even for paid apps and to check i tried to install a movie from the iTunes and i was not asked for my apple id password and i was surprised to find that it is actually downloading without asking for anything and above all i do not have enough money in my credit card. so if someone knows what did i do wrong and how to make the store ask me again i would be really grateful.
