Auto and persistent hotspot features

Can anyone attest whether the auto and persistent hotspot features work with macOS 10.15?

I’ve been waiting for this feature for sometime and it would be really nice to have my Mac connect to my iPhone’s hotspot automatically and persistently throughout sleeps, reboots, etc without losing connections.
