Auto Apple ID Password Change

I woke up this morning and immediately it asked for me to change my Apple ID password?

Is this something new on iOS9? I changed it recently so in not sure why it said I should update/change it.

Well when upgrading it doesn't really require that keeping what you had before. And this seems separate from the Apple ID password that the OP was asking about.

Yeah - it's making me change my Apple ID password even though I never requested to do so?
