auto awake thing

This drives me nuts. Even if i hold it in my hands, my screen goes on. Everytime i do something when i don't want it to turn on, it turns on.

Is there a way to disable this useless feature?

Give it a chance... you might well get used to it. It turns back off almost immediately if you put your phone back down.

Very useless. No one will ever use it.

When I have my 6S plugged in and upright (like in a car dock) notifications cause my screen to come on and to stay on. I don't like that.
