The auto correct on my iphone 12 using ios 14.3 has without a doubt got to be the worst auto correct I have ever seen in a phone. Sometimes it seems as if the phone is trying to write its own message.
Anyone else having problems with this?

Absolutely. I’ve got a long-standing issue that I’m dealing with Apple where if I say the words “full stop new paragraph”, it will add the full stop and type the word paragraph after… This is using dictation by the way. AutoCorrect is crap on iOS 14.

Are you able to give an example for yourself?

It just seems that every time I write a whole paragraph at least one or two words will be replaced with a totally different word and sometimes an entire group of words ends up being something different.

Still can't believe you still cannot add words to the dictionary from the message itself after all these years. One of the POP up menu choices shold be Add to Dictionary. If I could do that, I wouldn't have to keep fixing the same words over and over again.

I could never type a sentence on the ipad iosx without an extra comma or other symbol.
btw, they drop the puck for real on January 13 2021 i think.

Autocorrect has gotten progressively worse with each iOS release and was actually its best back in the iOS 4,5,6 days.

Fwiw, you can add shortcuts and text replacements in settings. I have a bunch I’ve accumulated over the years and have been adding more because autocorrect seems to have gone downhill. I seem to remember autocorrect being pretty good in iOS 12. Anyway, if you want to: settings>general>keyboard>text replacement.
