All Devices Auto correct on iOS adds wrong text after correction

One thing that always bothered me on iOS and hasn’t changed since the iPhone 3G days:

How come when you make a typo after writing out a whole word and you tab inside the word and use one of the auto correct suggestions, sometimes it puts the wrong part AFTER the word that has just been corrected instead of removing the wrong part all together?

Can’t think of a case where it happens right now but it’s something like:

„this is a test text. Unbelivble typos“

>

„this is a test text. Unbelievable vble typos“

I've had something like that happen, but just now and then. I figured that my touch timing was off somehow, that's all. Does it happen to you every time?

Spell check and correction has become more of an issue with 13.

Correction out of place
Auto-correct the word to what it wants after you have moved on
Change the sentence structure (adding or deleting word(s))
Having to add words to “Text Replacements” in order to get the dictionary to recognize specific words

I have both American English dictionaries and the Apple dictionary checked.
