Auto-download of Apps - not working?

Hi, hoping someone can help...

I have a Macbook Air running 10.7.2 and an iPhone 4 and iPad 2 both running iOS 5. I have iCloud setup up with automatic downloads enabled on all devices for Apps. However, I've downloaded a whole bunch of Apps to my iPhone today none of which have copied over to my iPad automatically. Should these not have appeared or am I totally missing something?

Also, is it right that if you update Apps on one device, they will not auto-update on he other devices?

I dont remember seeing that Apps would be sync'd. in the iOS trailer video, i do remember seeing music though.

Apps aren't included in the options. (on PC anyway)

you're looking to the iCloud settings, you have to go into the iTunes settigns to activate it.
