Hi all,

When my new MacBook gets low on battery power rather than putting itself into hibernation mode it just switches off, losing any data in open files. My old PC laptop would force a hibernation when the power got too low. Is there a way to enable this on a MacBook?

Thanks!

Dan

So when you plug it back in to power, the computer has to fully boot again, or do you get a screen with a gray overlay and a progress bar?

Fully boot again. So this shouldn't happen? Thought it wasn't very Mac-like!
I will try calibrating....
