Got my iPad on Tuursday (UK) and think it's amazing. 3G model so no problems with the wi-fi signal. My issue though is if I turn the wifi off and turn back on or shut the iPad down and restart it does not automatically join my known home network. I have to go into the setting menu and select my network, no password prompts, then joins straight away.

My iPhone shows no such issues and as long as the wi-fi signal is there it connects without any interaction. Anyone else noticed this or know what I'm doing wrong?

Update for anyone interested!

Very weird one this.

Poked around on the net and after quite a bit of searching I found the sollution and it's very odd.

It seems that if like me you run your iPad with the brightness all the way down it will forget "join known networks" setting and you'll have to select the network each time you leave the iPad for a while and go back to it.
However if you turn the brightness up by the smallest of amounts then it will work as expected?

Try it........ Very weird.
