I find that every time I switch in my iPAD - I need to manually connect to my home wifi network. Whereas my iPOD automatically finds the network or at least asks to join the network. Withthe iPAD I have to go into settings evry session to switch onthe WIFI .

My settings are: the same for both:
WIFI :ON
mynetwork : ticked
Ask to Join Networks: ON
Search domains: home (I can't seem to switch this to nothing)

HTTP proxy: Auto

Thanks in Advance

Yes I did try switching it off but that did not help.

Besides my iPOD which has it turned "on" - detects the WIFI on boot up. So perhaps I have got one of those iPADS with the WIFI problem.

I did read that I should renew the WIFI lease or perhaps set a fixed local IP address? Happy to try anything.
