Hi,
Just wondering if anyone has been able to confirm if the new Apple Music streaming service will allow for auto playlist sync across multiple devices? Eg I build a playlist on my desktop, When I log into the app on my Phone it's there..Or if the playlist will remain device specific requiring a manual sync? I'll be honest that's one of the things I really love about Spotify. But it's management of locally stored files is very poor. So hoping Apple has nailed it! Thanks!

I can answer my own post, now I've had an opportunity to try it. (On Mac obviously as Apple are ignoring Windows users for the time being) I created a playlist on iTunes 12.2 on Mac added a song from my local library and a song from Apple Music. I opened the music app on my iPhone and there it was..So it does indeed auto sync across devices. Colour me a happy chappy :)

New songs added on my iPhone appear to be syncing to iTunes on my Mac, but not the other way around. Kind of odd. I hope these things get worked out since it appears the functionality of proper syncing is there.

Someone mentioned in the forums that they were seeing a lag with stuff going to the phone, and I'm seeing that as well. Maybe you're just on a lag?

Yep, that was the case. They've updated since my post. Sometimes it takes longer than others to sync.

And I'll add in here as a reminder for others with issues to make sure that iCloud Music Library is turned on in all IOS devices and iTunes. Sometimes it is not enabled which causes people to think it doesn't work.

I am having an issue. I created a few playlists on my iphone via apple music. They are not appearing on my ipad, which sucks. I hope this is a glitch? Playlist should sync, that wouod be pointless if they didn't.

Mine are syncing between devices, but songs from Apple Music are not syncing properly at all. For example, I may have a remix of a song in iTunes where I created the playlist, but when I play the same playlist on my iPhone, it plays the "radio edit" version of the same song instead. It's absolutely frustrating and the only solution has been to delete the songs entirely from my library and start all over again when syncing them cross devices gets the song versions mixed up.

EDIT: iTunes 12.2 seems to be the problem. When I add songs to my library and create playlists on my iPhone, they show up immediately and with the correct versions of songs on my iPad as well. But if I do it on my iMac in iTunes, they don't work properly on either iOS device. It's unacceptable, but at least I know how to work around this huge bug until they push an iTunes 12.2.1 update that hopefully fixes it.

I've been using iTunes Match for about a year now and had few issues with the playlist syncing. I could arrange my playlists on my computer and they would show up on all my devices the exact same way. However, after 12.2 and 8.4 my playlists have been a mess. It seems that OS X and iOS have minds of their own when it comes to the playlist ordering. I keep most of my playlists organized by song title, but after the update most of them showed up on my iOS devices by either albums or date added. This is a big deal for playlists that have hundreds of songs by multiple artists. The only way to arrange them on iOS is to move each song one at a time, which is a waste of time. The odd thing is that any changes I made on one iOS device would show up on all my other iOS devices, but not my OS X devices. I found a couple of simple work arounds to make the two systems play nice together, but it's time consuming. Hopefully Apple will put things back the way they were with the next update.

Still nothing. My ipad has all these random playlist I never made. Such as, classical, 80s, 90s, etc

My iphone has all the ones I made, no odd custom ones.

Furthermore, if you right click on playlist, you can make it available offline. It is literally hit or miss which songs I can listen to offline. I literally have to click on each song and download them.

One would think apple tested these basic things out.

Furthermore, I get no warning if I add a duplicatr song, there should also be an easier way to sort songs. Sorting by typing a number, alphabetical, artist and bpm would be great.

iPhone, iPad, and MacBook - all logged in with my Apple ID and all with iCloud Music Library enabled.

Having serious issues getting playlists to keep in sync between devices. Tried various combinations of deleting/adding songs on various devices and no matter what, changes are not updated on the other devices.

If you add a new playlist on your MacBook does it show up on your iOS devices?
