Auto-reboot after downloading winterboard bricks my iPhone. Please help!

So I jailbroke and had to restore twice last night because every time winterboard is done and restarts my phone, the iTunes symbol comes up with the charging cord. Does anyone know why it does this and is there an app from Cydia or Rock that does the same thing so I don't keep crashing? It's pretty frustrating. Any help would be much appreciated.

P.s. I don't know if I'm waiting long enough after the reboot but when I shows the iTunes symbol, I waited 30 seconds and it still didn't reboot.

According to the tethered jailbreak thread, the 4th and 5th #'s in the serial # is the week the phone was manufactured. If this is true, mine was made in week 51 so could this be why my phone won't boot up after installing winterboard?

First of all, what you describe is not bricking. A bricked iPhone won't even turn on and cannot be restored. Second of all, it is not possible to brick the iPhone by any software means. People really need to stop using the term.

Finally, what you describe is a typical tethered jailbreak. You do not need to restore, you just need to re-run blackra1n or redsn0w to reboot your phone. You will need to do this every time your phone's battery dies, you turn it completely off (slide to power off) or reboot.

So what your saying is that when it shows the iTunes symbol on my phone with the cord, I plug my phone into the computer and run black rain from my computer as if I was jailbreaking again, correct? (for example, click "let it rain" on my computer). I just want to make sure. I really appreciate the help.

Yes, exactly. Make it rain, just like you did when you jailbroke. To be clear, it is not re-jailbreaking your device. All it is doing is forcing your phone to boot the jailbroken firmware it normally would refuse to boot.
