Auto Shutoff

Hey,

So today I restored my iphone to factory settings (not backup) to see if it would get any speedier. It seemed to have, but not to much. One very strange thing i did notice however was that unlike before the restore, after 30 seconds of not touching the phone the display dims then shuts off 5 seconds later, I like this, but I'm sure it wasnt there before because I always forgot to turn it off and it would be on in my pocket or on the dock all night. Is it only the dock where it stays on? Im confused.

Default autolock is set at 1 min. You might have had accidentally set it at never before and not realized it.

actually that does make sense, it doesnt turn off, but goes to standby. so I guess autolock was set to never before, thanks!

No problem.

Doug, it's easy to misinterperet shutting down and standby, which is exactly what happened in this case.
