iPod Auto sync music but manually manage podcasts

I used to manually manage my iPod content. Now I've made a playlist for iPod music and and auto synced it (so now my rating will sync). However when it comes to podcasts I like to just drag in various podcast episode rather then sync a specific feed to my iPod. Any idea if this can be done of am I just going to have to go back to manually managing my iPod?

I know this is an old thread but any ideas on this? I'm (now) using an iPod touch.

I recently tested it on my iPod Nano (so I do not effect my touch) by selecting auto sync music in the music tab and manually manage podcasts in the podcast tab, however it does not actually allow me to drag podcasts over.

Has anyone actually achieved this?
