Automate email import filtering and redirecting

Hi
I missed a very important email (different then my main gmail) because it was treated as spam put in a spam folder and deleted after 7 days.

Can I automate thunderbird to download new emails filter them with keywords and send filtered emails to a external email?

I am looking for a easy solution using a gmail reception email and maybe using gmail webmail because it has import pop account functions.

I would like to not have to manually go fetch emails, either webmail based and i check it it occasionally and spam emails are never deleted or have a mac osx automation do the previous description fully automatically.
