hey everyone,

i've been a reader of macrumors for a while now and now was the time for me to register.

I managed to sign up for itunes match and was wondering if the "automatic download" setting in itunes also works for matched music, not just purchased music.
I didn't have the chance to try this myself, so I thought maybe somebody else had.

thanksalot!

No. Matched music has to be downloaded manually, although you can do an entire playlist at one time. To upgrade matched music you need to delete the old file (I'd back it up first just to be safe) then have it download.

Too bad. I'm trying to find a good media solution for music+divx movies.
I was thinking I could get an older mac on which the itunes library would automatically update by being an itunes match "client". Oh well, doesn't seem to be the solution.
The ATV is quite cheap and would be perfect, but I really don't want the hassle of converting all movies to the itunes compatible format.

Looks like I'll have to keep searching
