I have some MKV files that I want to convert to MP4 without transcoding automatically. So when a file is placed in a certain folder, it is automatically converted to MP4. Can I do this with Automator and Applescript?

I wouldn't recommend this, every MKV you'll need to select different settings. There isn't i size fits all.

Oh, well all of my mkv files are from the same encoder, and are all already itunes compatible. So I just need to change the container automatically. Thanks!

Then create an automator action with MKVtools as the convertor... If you think they are all compatible, that is...
