I'm using bootcamp to dual boot to either windows or os x. I've tried searching on here but haven't found the answer. I was wondering why is it that when I don't hold down the alt key when I turn the computer on it automatically always boots to windows xp and not mac os x. I just installed the theft protection software orbicule and as you know it only works with os x. I always turn my computer off when I'm not using as it is my work computer. By the way it is a MBP. So if someone were to steal it it would render the receovery software useless as windows does not work with the program. And with the firmware protection password when I hold the alt key down you need to enter the password before you can even reboot to os x. So is there a way to change it so that I am able to automatically book to os x instead of windows xp.

when it boots into XP (or OS X) go to control panel classic view (or preference in OS X) find start up disk... and in ther choose OS X and restart, afterward you should be booting into OS X automatically
