In the process of doing some spring cleaning I had a thought - Is there a way (even if it's through an Apple script or something) to clear out old iMessages on OS X like there is on iOS? It's easy to set 30 days or a year on iOS, but I can't find any similar setting on OS X.

I know my laptop doesn't have the space concerns of my phone, but I still don't want an 18th month old picture I'm never going to look at again taking up space.

Any ideas?
