There's a widget that automatically gets the lyrics to whatever you're listening to on iTunes. The name escapes me, but I think it may be iLyrics or something like that.
Thanks to all of you guys for this thread and the answers.. it solved my problem. GimmeSomeTune is AWESOME. Now I don't have to download artwork or lyrics ever again... and i love the hot keys. great for keyboards that don't have the media control keys.
If you're looking to download lyrics for a large number of songs look at using Needle Drop http://dougscripts.com/itunes/scripts/ss.php?sp=needledrop in conjunction with gimmesometune. It's a script that plays a song for a set time then skips to the next one. I set it to play for 20 seconds (much less than this and it messes with gimme some tune writing lyrics to the file) and let it run all night. Woke up and all my songs had lyrics!
I use a Dashboard widget called Harmonic (it's available from Apple's downloads page). It adds the lyrics of the song automatically as it is being played in iTunes.
I know this post was done years ago, but just wanted to say THANKS! This program is EXACTLY what I was looking for. I tried GetLyrical it was just to slow and with TuneLyrics I can just have it search my entire library! Over 23,000 songs so it will take probably all night but it works. AWESOME! THANK YOU!
