Automatically run a APP with iCal

Hi friends,

I am trying to schedule a Program to run every day with iCal. I already have created a App (name : Automate.app) using Automator. Now I am planning to use iCal to schedule a run of that App every day automatically.

I now have created an Even in iCal, and put "alert" as "Open file". Now when I use "Other" below "iCal", what I see is that, all "apps" are greyed out. Attaching a snapshot what I am seeing.

Could you help me understand why all App files are greyed out? How to make them active.

Your best bet would be to ditch iCal and setup a service that runs at startup to run the app once per day. You should be able to use Automator to do this. Or try this: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/132955/how-do-i-set-a-task-to-run-every-so-often
